Seddon Construction has completed a £3.5 million contract
to build a care home in Nottingham.
Beechdale Manor - a 65 bedroom care home constructed in the
Billborough area, close to the city centre - offers
state-of-the-art facilities, including a specialist floor dedicated
to the care of Dementia patients.
This specialist area includes a cinema, pub and reminiscence
room to support the residents and offer them a high quality and
supportive environment.
At its height 80 tradespeople from Seddon Construction were on
the site for the new-build development, completed for London-based
residential and nursing care home provider, Bondcare.
The care home took 48 weeks to complete. Following the
completion, a cheque for £500 was presented to neighbouring
schools in the vicinity of the works, for their support during the
construction phase.
Brocklewood Infants, Brocklewood Junior, Highwood Player Infants
and Highwood Player Junior Schools all helped with access and
storage of materials throughout the project.
Adam Williams of Seddon Construction, said: "The £500
cheque was presented as a gift for being a really good neighbour
during the works.
"We were delighted to be able to thank the pupils and staff for
their patience and support during our time on site.
"The new building looks superb and will provide an important
service for the area."
This is the first care home Seddon Construction has built for
Bondcare under a five-year partnership agreement announced in
2009.
Two other sites have also been allocated to the company in the
West Midlands. These and the Nottingham site represent a combined
contract value totalling approximately £12 million.
Adam Williams added: "The partnership provides continuity of
work and gives both parties the opportunity to maximise the
benefits of long term collaborations and the cost value benefits
that brings."
