A Nottingham firm, PBS UK Ltd (Payroll Bureau Services), has
announced that it is expanding its team and premises in order to
fulfil the increased level of enquiries coming through from clients
overseas.
The company has had to relocate to larger offices in the City
Centre and take on new staff in order to accommodate the developing
new business and is on target to increase turnover by some 10% this
year.
Lynsey Fryer has joined PBS as a new addition to the
International Payroll team: "It is really a dream job - the pace is
fast moving and the work is diverse and absorbing. Whilst friends
and past colleagues continue to be worried about their career and
job stability, I am looking ahead to see how I can develop the role
and manage my day-to-day workload.
"I am dealing with clients from the financial sector,
construction, manufacturing and leisure - currently with over 50
payrolls operating across 40 countries. All need to be reassured
that PBS can provide an efficient payroll service and alert them to
changes in legislation and roles and responsibilities as an
employer that could affect their operation overseas. It is a hugely
complex role but also hugely rewarding.
... I can be the one point of access and advice for a business
that has a workforce scattered across the globe."
Managing Director, Pam Pindar: "Essential outsourced services
continue to be a growth area for us. Our strongest emerging market
is definitely South America, particularly Brazil and Argentina. We
can now offer payroll across 163 countries and can guarantee human
resources and tax compliance within those administrations. Although
our UK payroll business accounts for the most significant part of
our turnover, the increase in international enquiries is marked.
Many are intrigued by our Nottingham location and we like to use
that to our advantage whenever possible!"
