Coventry RFC has welcomed a new corporate partner to its line up
as Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG) declared its support
for the club.
PPDG, which has offices in Coventry and Nuneaton, will
officially launch the partnership on February 12th when league
leaders Barking are the visitors to the Butts Park Arena.
Managing director Gareth Edwards, from Allesley, said that the
organisation was delighted to have the opportunity to work
alongside the new management team as the club looks to the
future.
"Coventry is one of those rugby clubs that has always been at
the heart of the community," said Gareth. "I'm confident that our
business can add a new dimension to further strengthen those links
by working with everyone involved at the club. The partnership will
certainly provide an excellent opportunity to explore innovative
ideas with JLR, Unipart and other existing sponsors."
Commenting on the new development, chairman Peter Rossborough
said the move was another step in the right direction as the club
continues to build. "I know that PPDG has an ethos of strong
community engagement which is a perfect fit with our existing
sponsorship partners," he said. "Our aim is to develop this
exciting relationship for the benefit of the club and ultimately
for the people of Coventry."
PPDG is one of the UK's leading welfare to work providers,
working closely with government to ensure longer-term unemployed
job seekers have the best chance of accessing the workplace. The
company enjoys particularly successful partnerships with Coventry
NDC and Job Centre Plus in Coventry, which has resulted in more
than 1300 residents securing sustainable employment.
To enhance its community support programme the company operates
an award winning payroll giving scheme which has donated over
£150,000 to charities and other good causes.
