Parking Association
Motorists using a Midland car park managed by Birmingham-based
Gallan Parking can be sure of leaving their vehicles in one of the
safest parking facilities in the country.
The 300-space amenity owned by developer Pritchard Group at
Doxey Road in Stafford town centre has been officially accredited
under the national safer parking award scheme Park Mark.
The purpose-built environmentally friendly car park leased to
Gallan Parking met the stringent safety and security guidelines of
the Association of Chief Police Officers.
The Park Mark certificate, presented by Staffordshire Police, is
the first to have been awarded to the company, which is part of
property specialists Gallan Group and a member of the British
Parking Association.
Open 24 hours and charging only £2 all day, Doxey Road car
park is just five minutes from Stafford rail station and serves
shoppers, commuters and business people.
It was opened three years ago by Pritchard Group after the
company redeveloped the former Stafford gasometer site to meet all
environmental criteria.
Jonathan Pritchard, Operations Director for Pritchard Group,
said: "This is great news not only for the people of Stafford who
can have complete piece of mind when parking at Doxey Lane but also
to Gallan who are such a brilliant car park partner."
Phillip Grant, Managing Director of Gallan Parking, said: "We
are delighted with this award, which reinforces our reputation for
creating safe and non threatening environments in which drivers can
feel confident their vehicles are cared for."
Gallan Parking was launched in 2009 and operates over 2,500
spaces in an area extending from Stafford to Norwich and Sheffield
to Worthing.
