tax
International accountants and business advisers Mazars have
announced that Tim Davies, currently a partner in the firm's
Birmingham office, has been appointed as national head of tax.
He takes on the role from existing senior partner David Evans
and will run the national tax team from Mazars' offices in London
and Birmingham.
He has been a tax partner at Mazars for over four years advising
a range of clients including fully listed and large multi-national
businesses as well as entrepreneurs and family owned businesses.
Before joining Mazars, Tim's experience included roles with PwC and
Ernst & Young as well as working for HMRC and directly with
companies.
Midlands regional managing partner David Chapman said: "We are
very proud that one of our Birmingham partners has been chosen to
lead the national tax team.
"Tim's appointment comes after an extensive selection process
which included a number of high calibre external candidates.
Businesses and individuals are demanding greater levels of
pro-active tax advice and in response Mazars sees tax as a leading
service to drive our future growth.
"Tim's vision, drive and energy will allow Mazars to meet its
strategic objectives during this exciting time of substantial
opportunity for us."
Tim Davies said: "I am extremely proud to have been asked to
lead our tax team. We have over 200 tax professionals generating
over £24 million of revenue and our tax business continues to
grow in contrast to some of our competitors. This gives us a
fantastic platform to help more companies, businesses and
individuals manage and minimise their tax costs though bespoke,
commercial tax advice."
