Wyre Forest-based law firm mfg Solicitors LLP (mfg) has signed a
long-term agreement to relocate their headquarters into one of
Kidderminster's most iconic buildings.
The firm, who have occupied their existing offices in Worcester
Street for nearly 50 years, will complete their exciting relocation
this summer to the imposing Adam House, a stunning neo classical
red brick building on Kidderminster's Birmingham Road.
mfg has secured a deal on the three-storey premises which will
provide over 14,000 square feet of office accommodation for around
70 of the firm's employees. Staff will relocate in early summer to
allow for the completion of an extensive refurbishment programme on
the 0.67 acre site.
The work will be project managed by Kidderminster-based property
investment company Gemini Properties, the owners of Adam House.
Maynard Burton, Chairman of mfg said; "We have a long
association with Kidderminster so we're delighted to be moving to
our new headquarters. Adam House is one of the most prestigious
buildings in the town and will be the flagship for our
future.
"Our current offices in the town centre no longer fit with the
firm's vision for the years ahead and we require premises that will
benefit us and our clients in the long term. Adam House fits the
bill. It is easily accessible, has plenty of parking space,
excellent transport links and the flexibility to house our growing
number of employees. We're an ambitious, successful firm and when
completed our new offices will act as a focal point for clients
from across the Midlands and beyond."
Mr Burton added; "As the largest and oldest law firm in the
county, we are excited about the move. It's a project that will
ultimately bring more people into Kidderminster and in turn, help
support the local economy. It represents a new, exciting chapter in
the history of mfg."
Tim Hopkins, joint Managing Director of Gemini Properties
commented; "This exciting regeneration project, which compliments
mfg's long standing heritage, will reinforce them as the county's
leading law firm. Mfg have been completely engaged in the project
to ensure that Adam House is finished to its original standard
while bringing the building up to today's regulations.
"We are using contractors and suppliers from across
Worcestershire to complete this exciting project, making it a truly
local success."
Andrew Hopkins, joint Managing Director of Gemini Properties
concluded; "Both Adam House and mfg compliment our global
investment portfolio. We are currently investing heavily in
Australia but it's great to be completing such a great deal at home
and on our doorstep."
