Multi-disciplinary consultancy firm IBI Group, has become the
latest company to move into Birmingham's iconic building, The
Cube.
Fitting out a bespoke unit within The Cube's small office suites
on the 8th floor, the nine-strong IBI team had been looking for a
Birmingham office for some time before finally settling on The Cube
as the ideal location.
Gareth Tyler, Technical Consultant for IBI, explains:
"Architecture is one of IBI's specialisms and we regularly have
clients coming up from across the country. So it was important for
us to not only find a location that was central and provided us
with good transport links, but that was also going to be a great
representation for our company.
"The Cube ticked all these boxes and more as a new landmark and
much talked about building in Birmingham. Not to mention that one
of our main clients, the Highways Agency, is based in the building,
which is convenient!"
Enlisting the help of the architectural side of the company in
Canada, the firm benefited from purpose designing their office
space from scratch, customising it to suit their needs. The office
will be home to a small team of permanent staff, but its open plan
design offers more capacity, with flexible meeting rooms and
hot-desking space for when other IBI colleagues and clients
visit.
Gareth continues: "The team are really excited to be here,
especially with The Cube steadily coming to life week by week.
There are new residents moving in and we're particularly looking
forward to taking clients to the stunning Marco Pierre White
rooftop restaurant when it opens later this year."
IBI employees are also benefiting from The Cube's
state-of-the-art, fully automated underground car park, which
offers secure, 24-hour parking on a seasonal pass basis to any
member of the public.
Neil Edginton, Director at The Cube, comments: "We're delighted
to welcome IBI to The Cube. The scheme offers a truly unique way of
working and now is a very exciting time for us as we continue to
welcome a steady stream of residential and commercial tenants into
the building. Watch this space!"
