Fast growing East Midlands public relations agency Shooting Star
PR is looking for a voluntary or community organisation to become
its Charity of the Year for 2011.
Each year the agency provides free advice and expertise to a
different local charity or non-for-profit organisation which would
not otherwise be able to afford ongoing PR.
Now they're looking for a charity for 2011 that could benefit
from their services which include news releases, feature writing,
event planning and media monitoring.
Chosen charities in recent years have included Lincoln Women's
Aid and Strut in the Community.
Kate Strawson, Director at Shooting Star PR, said: "We are keen
to give something back to the local community and help charities
and voluntary organisations which could otherwise not afford to use
a PR consultancy.
"We can help them to promote themselves and the work they do
which is often invaluable to the people who use their services.
"In 2009 we chose Strut in the Community to be our Charity of
the Year and last year it was Lincoln Women's Aid. Both these
charities make a real difference to people's lives and this year
we'd like to help a similar charity or organisation raise their
profile and encourage more people to donate money or become a
volunteer as a result."
