Scalford Hall Management Training Centre and Hotel is truly
wagging its tail after a great event. The recently held Dog Working
Trial for the Midlands Border Collie Club was heralded a great
success. Visitors, competitors, helpers, Judges and Stewards were
all extremely complimentary on the Hall, the facilities and the
excellent way in which they were looked after, at such a busy and
well attended event.
Sue James, the event organiser says "This all bodes well for our
most prestigious event that we will be holding during October 2013,
which will be the Kennel Club Working Trial Challenge. This
is the Working Trials equivalent of the Crufts 'beauty show' for
dogs and will also bring dignitaries and VIP's from both the Kennel
Club and the event sponsors. As you can imagine, having such a
superb venue is a bonus and something we are very proud of."
Hotel General Manager, Bill Dixon says "We had a great event in
every respect, with great clients, great visitors including those
of the canine variety who were all extremely well behaved, all
resulting in excellent feedback. It was a busy occasion, all the
staff enjoyed putting on a show and we hope to host more similar
functions and certainly are looking forward to the big event in
2013."
Scalford Hall, set on the outskirts of Melton Mowbray in
Leicestershire, was recently awarded The Condé Nast Award
for "Most Excellent Dedicated Venue 2010". Bill continues "It is an
honour to be ranked amongst some of the finest and most well known
Hotels and Venues in the Country. Achieving this award and running
successful events such the recent Dog Working Trial means so much
to the team and I who are all dedicated and caring, and work so
hard to provide exceptional guest care."
