A team of Midlands-based financial experts has been appointed as
regional representatives in the highly-specialised field of
forensic accounting.
Harrison Beale and Owen, which has offices in Coventry and
Leamington, will represent Coventry, Birmingham, Nuneaton and
Hinckley as part of the Network of Independent Forensic Accountants
(NIFA).
Forensic accounting involves detailed analysis of accounting
records and investigation into financial practices which can then
be used as evidence in court proceedings or to assist with the
resolution of legal disputes.
NIFA was launched in late 1999 by a group of independent
chartered accountancy practices and was formed to pool the
knowledge, expertise and resource in independent firms to create a
network providing solicitors and insurers with local and cost
effective forensic accountancy services.
Forensic accounting services can be applied to subjects
including share valuations, personal injury claims, contractual
disputes, contested business losses, matrimonial disputes,
professional negligence claims, tax investigations, proceeds of
crime, copyright, royalties and fraud.
Phil Ewing, director at Harrison Beale and Owen, said: "It is a
great privilege to be the region's representative in this
highly-specialised field."
"We have expertise in a wide range of commercial, financial and
taxation issues and our team is well placed to provide prompt,
accurate and independent assistance."
