Miller Homes East Midlands is inviting first-time buyers in
Nottinghamshire to a special weekend event at The Vales development
this weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, the popular Bingham development will
have an independent financial adviser on hand to provide free,
no-obligation advice to first-time buyers looking to move using the
Government-backed HomeBuy Direct (HBD) scheme.
The scheme offers those buyers who qualify the chance to
purchase 100 per cent of a new property by paying only 70 per cent
of the value up front. The remaining 30 per cent is equally funded
by Miller Homes and the Government, becoming repayable after 25
years or when the customer sells their home, whichever comes
first.

and instead turn to renting. HBD can give first-time buyers the

easy it is to get on the property ladder by taking advantage of the
HBD initiative."
Among the limited number of properties offered via the HBD
scheme at The Vales is the two-bedroom Cavendish-style apartment,
which is usually priced at £99,950, but available via HBD
from £69,965.
Paul continued: "One of the top reasons that young people give
for not having bought their own home is that they haven't got
enough saved for a deposit, however this Cavendish-style apartment
is available through HBD with a deposit of just £3,499."
