Registration has now opened for a new networking event that will
celebrate the hugely successful partnership established between the
University of Lincoln's School of Engineering and Siemens
Turbomachinery. The event will focus on encouraging new engineering
businesses throughout the East Midlands to flourish.
Sponsored by the regions' specialist graduate recruitment
service, HotProspects, the event will showcase the growing
opportunities available to those businesses operating in and
planning to operate in the Engineering sector.
Support providers, such as MAS and Business Link, will be
present to explain the new funding streams and grants available to
support growth. There will also be advice available to those
looking to find staff with exactly the right skills, train an
existing workforce or develop best practice mentoring.
And to add to an environment of inspiration, the Guest Speaker
for the evening will be Jim Brown, Chief Engineer of Project
Angelic Bulldog, the World Motorcycle Land Speed Record Attempt. An
ex Siemens employee and Lincolnshire based, Jim represents a desire
to reclaim a British heritage of outstanding engineering skills,
talent and entrepreneurship. His single-minded dedication and
self-belief will surely resonate with all who attend.
HotProspects Project Manager Laura Clark is part of the
organising team behind the event: "There is a feeling of great
anticipation surrounding the event. It will be one of those
occasions that could change the course of any business attending
and mark the turning point in future fortunes. We don't believe
that an opportunity such as this for the engineering sector in
Lincolnshire has ever presented itself before. It will be
fascinating to watch operations of all sizes and structures come
together to share thoughts, advice and opinion."
The event is being held on Thursday 10th March at the
Think Tank on Ruston Way, Lincoln, starting at 6.00p.m. Those keen
to attend can email Elizabeth.todd@hotprospects.org.uk or call 0845
450 5460 to register. All registrations must be received by the 1st
March as places are limited.
