The East Midlands financial services community gathered for
their annual Investment Dinner in Nottingham last week, raising
over £700 for nominated charity Shelter Box through their
'Unit Trust' competition.
Over 100 investment advisers and industry professionals attended
the event at the Park Plaza Hotel, a fantastic turnout, as Paul
Pugh of title sponsor Cazenove Capital Management commented:
"After the horrendous snow at the beginning of December
and the event having to be postponed, everybody was keen to start
the year on a high and I believe that was accomplished at the East
Midlands Investment Dinner. It is great to be a part of this annual
event which is now in its 6th year."
Event organiser, Toby Reid, of Morland Brook said: "The fact
that the dinner is in its sixth year means that there is now an
established event for the region and that is down to the ongoing
support of our sponsors.
"We are delighted with the level of interest we continue to
attract and are especially proud that we managed to raise such a
good sum for our chosen charity, Shelter Box."
Shelter Box responds instantly to natural and manmade disasters
by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need. The other
lead sponsors for the evening were investment managers Nottingham
based T Bailey and Sarasin & Partners.
