Gainsborough-based solicitors firm Burton & Dyson is
inviting businesses to find out more about how the new Bribery Act
will affect them once it comes into force at a forthcoming
breakfast briefing.
The event takes place at the firm's offices at 22 Market Place,
Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, DN21 2BZ, on Wednesday, March 2nd,
2011.
Opening with refreshments at 8am, the hour-long seminar gets
under way at 8.30am with a presentation by Burton & Dyson
partners Steven Hardy and Lisa Whitelam.
Although the Bribery Act, which was due to come into force in
April 2011, has now been delayed while the Government reviews the
potential impact of its tough new measures on companies wanting to
compete for overseas business, the seminar provides an opportunity
for employers to keep up to date with the latest developments, as
well as reviewing their own anti-corruption procedures.
The briefing will also cover the Equality Act, which came into
effect in October 2010, and provide an overview of the key features
of the Companies Act 2006.
Partner Steven Hardy said: "Although the Bribery Act has now
been delayed pending a review, this gives businesses a greater
opportunity to ensure their own anti-corruption procedures are up
to scratch.
"Employers who attend this breakfast briefing can learn how the
changes will affect them, as well as receiving valuable updates on
other important legislation under the Equality Act 2010 and
Companies Act 2006."
