One of Birmingham's top roadside and retail property specialists is to make a chance appearance in the concluding episode of BBC One's Hustle series 7 being shown on Friday 11th February at 9pm.

Alfred Bartlett managing director of Bartlett Property will appear as an extra in a scene with 'Albert Stroller' played by Robert Vaughn filmed in the Mailbox, Birmingham.

The opportunity came about when Bartlett Property was tasked by Kudos Film and Television - the producers of the hit BBC One drama - to find a suitable location to film scenes for the new series.

Bartlett Property negotiated a six-month temporary letting of a 76,205 sq ft modern production warehouse based at Stella House, Talbot Way on Small Heath Business Park (Birmingham).

The 4.7 acre site marketed by DTZ was used to film scenes of the con-artists' main meeting haunt in the show - Eddie's bar.

As an unexpected bonus, Kudos invited Bartlett and DTZ's Jonathan Robinson to join the cast on-set for the day.

Alfred Bartlett managing director of Bartlett Property, said: "It was interesting to be a part of the new series of Hustle and meet the cast but I think I'll stick to the day job.

"We specialise in the acquisition, development, investment and disposal of premier roadside, retail and trade park property on a daily basis but this has to be one of the more unusual projects we have undertaken for a client."

Jonathan Robinson, associate director at DTZ, added: "Stella House provided a quality premise that was used effectively as a base for Kudos offices. Its accessible location worked perfectly for them whilst filming across the West Midlands region and we were delighted to have been able to accommodate them."

Having played its role, the property is now back on the market via agents DTZ.
