Employees from leading city business, Fusion, part of the BGL Group, attended the company's tenth Annual Awards Ball, with a show-stopping 'Out of Africa' theme. The yearly event is designed to highlight employees who have demonstrated the Group's core values and to thank them for their dedication and hard work.

Staff from the company's six locations across the UK dressed up in their finery to attend the black tie event at the ICC in Birmingham. This year's theme saw African dancers, acrobats and singers entertain the revellers. Guests also enjoyed a cocktail reception, three-course dinner, and entertainment from the renowned European Swann Band.

BGL's Group Chief Executive, Peter Winslow, presented the awards and said: "Everyone has worked very hard over the past year, uniting as a team, to ensure the BGL Group continues to remain a success. This success is underpinned by the commitment and enthusiasm of everyone who attended the ball.

"The ball is the most prestigious event in the BGL calendar. The event really does help to recognise everyone's contribution and is a great way to thank people personally for helping to shape the company as it is today. The dance floor was full all night and the entertainment was extremely well received by all who attended."

The award winners, nominated by colleagues, were chosen for demonstrating the seven company values which are being creative, making a difference, being happy in their role, being genuine, encouraging, and united, as well as caring for the customer.
