Nottingham property agent heb will be selling a selection of
pubs at its auction on 15 February at its new location - The
Gateway Hotel in Nuthall Road.
The former George Inn at 174 Wharf Road is located in the
village of Pinxton and benefits from having an existing liquor
licence. The pub has two bars, a function room and five rooms to
the upper floor. The site also benefits from having planning
consent for eight terraced houses.
Partner and auctioneer Matt Hilton said: "As well as having a
liquor licence, the former George Inn could also be developed to
become a residential area. With a price guide of around
£125,000 to £140,000, this is a site that has many
possibilities, all with great potential."
Another pub up for auction on the day is lot 13 - the White
Hind. Situated in the centre of the historic market town of Newark,
the large pubic house also has a retail unit fronting Balderton
Gate. This property has a price guide of £225,000 to
£250,000 and is currently fully let producing an income of
£25,500 per annum. The site also has long term development
potential with planning consent obtained for the reconfiguration of
the pub, said Matt.
He added: "heb's success at auction grew as the year went on in
2010, and we hope to repeat that success this year. We've seen a
real growth in interest in auctions. Properties that may be
overlooked in the first instance are creating a buzz, with buyers
coming to auction recognising that they represent value for money
and are a great investment opportunity."
The heb auction will take place on 15 February at The Gateway
Hotel, Nuthall Road, Cinderhill, Nottingham at 2.30pm. For more
