A total of 1500 unemployed people living in Derbyshire have
successfully returned to work thanks to a return to work initiative
run by employment specialists Working Links.
And the occasion has been marked with a celebratory event for
the partners, employers and some of the jobseekers that have helped
make this achievement possible.
Working Links are able to help anyone aged over 18 and
eligible to work in the country into work. They have been able to
do this during these tough times by working closely with the
employers that are recruiting to find out what they are looking for
in an employee. Working Links have been running short training
courses for their jobseekers covering areas specific to the needs
of these employers.
Jobseeker John Twigge, who has benefitted from the support said:
"I found myself out of work and unsure where to begin. Working
Links offered just the right levels of advice and guidance that I
needed to keep me motivated. I am thankful to the team for their
commitment towards me".
Kevin Thomas, Working Links Operations Manager commented: "We
have a very successful track record in supporting unemployed people
into work because we offer a support a service that is
tailored to the needs of the jobseekers. We look at the types of
work that people can do rather than focusing on the jobs that they
can't. And our support continues whilst people are in work to make
sure that they are happy in their new roles."
