Motor industry e-commerce specialist epyx has been named Fleet
Software Company of the Year in the 2011 Business Car Awards this
week - an accolade it has received for the second year in
succession.
These are the only fleet industry awards voted for by readers of
a magazine and show the way in which the reputation of the company
has continued to grow in recent years, says editor Paul Barker.
He explained: "E-commerce has revolutionised several aspects of
fleet industry activity in recent years, notably the buying of car
and van service and maintenance. epyx has very much been at the
vanguard of this trend and this award is again well deserved."
Ken Trinder, head of business development at epyx, added: "We
are very pleased to receive this accolade. In a tough economic
climate, we have worked with fleets to help them reduce their
overheads while increasing service levels. This award is perhaps an
indication that the industry recognises all that we have achieved
together."
epyx was founded in Warwickshire in 2000 and now has a customer
base of fleet users for its 1link branded fleet e-commerce
platforms totalling more than two million company cars and vans
buying from more than 15,000 franchise car dealers, independent
garages and fast fits. The company is headquartered at Meriden in
Warwickshire.
1link platforms provide cradle-to-grave e-commerce support for
the whole fleet vehicle life cycle covering vehicle procurement,
service and maintenance, taxation, rental and disposal. The company
also has operations in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and
Australia.
