Worcestershire-based communications and events management firm
drpgroup is creating 12 new roles within the business after
celebrating its 30th anniversary year in 2010 with considerable
growth, investment and development of the business.
The drpvideo team are looking for new video producers and
directors keen to get started in the industry as well as both
Midlands and London based editors. The drpdigitalmedia team are
looking for a senior web developer, graphic designers and a
presentation designer/operator to join the busy team. drpevents is
looking for senior level event management staff to help deliver
projects for new clients and the drptechnicalservices team are
looking for production manager, senior show technician, show
technician, warehouse servicing assistant and assistant stage and
set carpenter.
The positions, apart from one London-based video editor role,
will be at the group's Hartlebury base and are in addition to the
19 full-time and 17 part-time staff members taken on in 2010. The
group will easily exceed the same number of new team members this
year and is keen to start recruiting as soon as possible.
The company is particularly keen to promote local talent and
last year ran the Believe programme where a group of unemployed
individuals were given a crash course in the communication and
events industry, with one ultimately being offered a full time
role. The technical services team are especially keen to recruit
junior team members and provide industry leading training to give
them a grounding in live events production.
Rather than reducing its spending during the recent recession,
drpgroup tripled its marketing spend and increased its investment
in new staff and facilities, which allowed it to win new contracts
as other firms cut back.
When recruiting for the new roles, drpgroup will look to use the
widest range of methods possible including careers fairs and a
planned new apprenticeship scheme, as well as traditional job
advertising.
drpgroup managing director Dale Parmenter said: "Our people are
key to everything we do, and it is vital that we keep bringing in
the new talent we need to help our business to grow.
"I'm delighted that we've been able to continue creating jobs,
even during the difficult economic times of the past few years, and
I look forward to welcoming more people to our team this year."
