The third in a series of practical workshops run by solicitors and estate agents of Halesowen's largest practice Challinors White & Billingham will give property investors tips on how to effectively market a property and achieve a quick sale.

The Prosper in Property workshop 'Restructuring' on the 10th February 2011, is designed to give both new and established property investors practical tips on selling, as the firm's managing partner Raj Bains explains:

"This workshop is all about selling. Our team will walk delegates through the options available for marketing properties, and give some useful tips on staging and preparing properties for sale, particularly important in the current challenging property market, and the best way to prepare for the selling process to ensure a quick and smooth transaction.

"We will also cover-off how to instruct an estate agent, where to advertise the property for sale in order to reach the target market, and how to achieve that all-important quick sale."

The workshop will also cover the legal implications and considerations of the selling process: "Our property lawyers will offer guidance on the do's and don'ts of selling a property at auction and an independent financial adviser will provide an overview of the best finance options currently available to property investors looking to restructure their portfolio, and the best route to accessing them," says Raj.

"If the property is let and tenants are reluctant to leave, this can present a major headache for landlords, so we will also utilise this session to offer some guidance on handling and overcoming the tricky issue of evicting tenants, with an overview of notices and common defects, claims for possession, bailiffs and costs."

The event takes place at Challinors White & Billingham's offices in Halesowen from 6.00pm on Thursday 10th February. To find out more or reserve a free place, email: propinvestor@challinors.co.uk, or tel 0121 550 0481.

The Prosper in Property events are part of Challinors White & Billingham's recently launched Property-Pro helpline service, created to deliver relevant and timely advice and support for property developers, landlords and potential property investors. It brings together the firm's experienced team of solicitors and estate agents to give local property investors instant access to professional, practical advice from one single source.

Property-Pro Helpline is led by Raj Bains, a specialist in civil and commercial litigation with a focus on commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes. The team also includes Steven Kelsall, Stephen Bradley, Vicky Thomas and Jonathan Cooper.

The Prosper in Property series of events concludes on the 7th April 2011 with a session entitled 'Winding down - Tax planning and inheritance'.
