Solihull-based Vitis PR has expanded its niche technology
expertise with the appointment of freelance PR Executive Nicola
Corns, 32.
Nicola, who brings over four years' legal communications and B2B
consultancy experience to the role, will be responsible for
managing legal technology client accounts and supporting Vitis PR's
new business drive within this sector.
Previously an Account Manager with Birmingham-based financial
and legal PR agency M Consulting, Nicola gained a journalism degree
from Liverpool John Moores and kick started her career with an
in-house role at Birmingham City Council's Public Law and Property
Division. From there she moved on to a corporate communications
position with leading law firm Wragge & Co before taking on
consultancy roles with established PR agencies including Core
Marketing and Haslimann Taylor, where she handled national property
and construction clients such as Taylor Wimpey before setting up
her own freelance PR business in August 2010.
Nicola is working with Vitis PR to provide flexible client
support following a significant increase in new clients since 2009
which saw her hired on a contract basis, after three months of
working with the technology PR agency, to manage PR activity for
business and consumer electronics clients plus new legal technology
clients.
Nicola said of her appointment: "There is a real media appetite
for innovative technology news and, having recently branched out
into the legal technology sector, Vitis PR has a number of great
client stories to tell. I've worked with public and private legal
firms and held an Account Manager agency role specialising in legal
PR, so I understand the use of legal technology and software such
as content and document management systems. I look forward to using
my legal experience to help Vitis PR grow into its new legal
technology specialism."
Ranbir Sahota, Founder and Director of Vitis PR, said: "We have
enjoyed great success with our technology PR agency, which has
resulted in winning new clients and experiencing a substantial
increase in work both within the consumer and business electronics
sector and the legal technology field. To ensure we continue to
deliver the high standard of service each of our clients expects,
we hired Nicola to use her B2B expertise and media relations, to
drive business development, particularly within the legal
technology sector."
