New jobs are to be created at a Shropshire solicitors firm with
plans for numerous new posts in 2011.
Linder Myers LLP, based in Shrewsbury, is looking to expand its
trusts and estates department following a hugely successful 12
months.
The firm has already welcomed a new face in former county man
Neil Davies who has returned to Shropshire from Bury and is looking
to welcome more expertise to the team.
Linder Myers LLP has a head office in Manchester and launched in
Shropshire following the merger of county law firms Scott Lister
and Moss and Poulson.
Partner Richard Ashton said: "The last 12 months has been a
period of transition for the Trusts and Estates department in
Shrewsbury. Stuart Lister, former senior partner in Scott Lister,
has retired during the past year, as has Spencer Newsome, also a
former partner in Scott Lister.
"The former offices of Moss & Poulson are now a dedicated
private client department headed up by myself.

"In addition, Neil Davies, a solicitor, has joined us
specialising in Wills, Probate and Trusts, powers of attorney and
Court of Protection matters. He is an excellent addition to the
team. He left a firm in Bury to come back to Shrewsbury, where he
had lived and worked previously. We are very ably supported by my
assistant, Laura Davies.
"We are looking to expand the department further in 2011 to
build upon a very successful 2010. We aim to continue to provide
high levels of service to our existing clients and also to reach
out to new clients by offering a friendly, approachable and high
quality legal service."
Bill Jarvis, regional managing partner, said the success of the
Shrewsbury department in the past year has been "overwhelming".
He said: "Richard's task has been quite onerous. He has had to
co-ordinate the merger of private client practices and take over
the existing caseload of retired colleagues.
"He has, however, done this with enthusiasm, vitality and with
an enormous amount of understanding of both clients and retired
colleagues. I cannot praise his achievements highly enough and will
support him wholeheartedly in his expansion plans for the
department."
