A clever new device for pouring liquids in a controlled fashion
without wasteful over-filling and spills has been developed and
patented by a Midlands-based business.
The innovative Easy-Fill insert can be used to safely and
securely dispense a wide variety of fluids for a diverse array of
applications in the automotive, DIY, food and beverage,
horticulture, hotel and licensed trade, and medical industries.
It not only filters and delivers the liquid in a smooth, even
flow into receptacles such as drinking glasses, fuel tanks or
medicine bottles, but also automatically stops dispensing the fluid
once the required level is reached.
The low-cost plastic insert, specially designed for integration
into an existing or new product, is the latest invention of
brothers Jim and Richard George, of Staunton, Gloucestershire.
The non-spill dispenser idea was initially conceived for a
multi-purpose safety spout for filling fuel tanks on portable power
tools and is already stocked by a number of retailers in the
agricultural, automotive and marine markets.
As well as a novel component for companies involved in the
liquid storage and dispensing sectors, the insert will be used to
develop a wider range of cost-effective, Easy-Fill products such as
wine bottle and soft drink dispensers.
"Having the ability to cheaply and quickly dispense liquids to a
precise level offers many advantages. Imagine being able to fill a
wine glass to a consistent and precise level in a few seconds,"
commented Jim George.
The Easy-Fill insert had plenty of potential either supplied as
bespoke components for integrating into existing and new products
or developed as a licensing opportunity, he added.
The George brothers are responsible for creating a host of
innovative products during their three decades in business
including Postsaver, a protective sleeve that doubles the life of
fence posts.
