A student from a Stourbridge sixth form college has been
honoured for her outstanding A-level results with an award from
Halesowen-based chartered accountancy firm Nicklin LLP.
Sharondeep Landra, an accountancy student at King Edward VI
College from 2008 to 2010, was chosen to receive the prestigious
Nicklin Prize for Accountancy. It is the second year that Nicklins
has sponsored the award.
Although Sharondeep was unable to attend the ceremony in person,
college principal Sharon Phillips accepted the award on her behalf
from Nicklins partner Chris Cook during the ceremony at the college
on January 6th.
Commenting on the award, Chris Cook said: "Hard-working students
such as Sharondeep are the business minds of tomorrow, which is why
we are pleased to be able to recognise her achievements in this
way.
"We are delighted to be able to continue to forge links with
King Edward VI College and play a role in helping students find
their way into the world of work.
"On behalf of everyone at Nicklins, I would like to congratulate
Sharondeep on her achievements and wish her all the best for the
future."
