New recruits for machinery auction portal

A locally-based used plant and machinery auction website is going from strength-to-strength following the appointment of two new members of staff.

www.mrmachinery.com, which is headquartered in Shrewsbury and operates via a network of offices across Europe, has brought on board Keith Richards as UK Sales Manager and Karen Weaver as Auction Coordinator.

Keith joins following a spell as a Construction Spares Sales Advisor in the defence sector, before which he held a senior management role at a plant hire company and was General Manager for Barrs Electrical. He brings to his role over 35 years experience in dealing with customers, managing teams and negotiating contracts across the construction and plant hire industries.

Karen Weaver brings a wealth of sales and administrative experience to her new role as Auction Coordinator, where she is responsible for uploading all machinery information and images to the company website, as well as liaising with customers and ensuring all contracts and inspection reports are finalised prior to auction. After undertaking various administrative roles in industries as diverse as IT, aviation, banking and education, Karen progressed to become an Account Manager in the refrigeration sector for 10 years before moving on to her current position.

Mark Bacon, Managing Director of Mr Machinery, commented:  "We are delighted to welcome aboard Keith and Karen. They join us at a very exciting time for the business, and I'm sure the knowledge and wealth of experience they bring will help us build on a successful 2010 and continue to grow in the years to come."

"The company is looking to really push on in the next 12 months with plans to open further offices in Germany, France and Scandinavia, so it's fair to say Keith and Karen won't be the newest members of the Mr Machinery team for too long," Mark revealed.

Mr Machinery is a dedicated online auction portal offering a unique platform for the sale and purchase of used plant machinery. With extensive experience within the heavy equipment and logistics industries, the team provides both buyers and sellers a professional, personal and reliable service, ensuring every customer's machinery and logistics needs are more than met.
