The latest new tranche of eco homes at Green Street in The
Meadows have been snapped up during their first weekend on
sale.
Nine sustainable homes were released to the public on Friday
January 21 and all found buyers within 72 hours.
For specialist regeneration developer Blueprint, this success is
a vote of confidence in its sustainability by design ethos and a
great indication of future demand for the remaining nine houses in
the £8 million, 38-home scheme.
John Long, at Blueprint, said: "We are absolutely delighted with
the response. It shows there is really strong demand out there for
a more architectural approach to design and a more sustainable, low
energy product.
"And of course The Meadows location is great too, next to the
River Trent and within ten minutes' walk of both Nottingham city
centre and West Bridgford."
The development, which is a mixture of three and four bed
contemporary town houses next to the picturesque Victoria Gardens
on the Trent Embankment was designed by Nottingham based, award
winning architects Marsh Grochowski.
The scheme is built on Blueprint's core values of design driven
quality and sustainability. Features include solar photovoltaic
supplemented electricity, whole-house heat recovery, super
insulation and air tightness way above new building
standards.
The homes are priced from around £170,000 to
£235,000 and are being sold nationally by Savills via their
Nottingham office and locally by Royston and Lund in West
Bridgford.
Multi-award winning developer Blueprint, based in Nottingham,
has been responsible for two other major schemes on brown field
sites so far - No.1 Nottingham Science Park, off University
Boulevard, and Phoenix Square in Leicester, which comprises homes,
office studios, independent arts cinema and a café bar.
The last remaining 9 homes in the scheme will be released for
sale in the coming weeks.
