A Birmingham-based design and communications consultancy have
re-launched themselves for 2011 with a glossy new name and
logo.
Sixth Story, previously known as AHP Design, have been through a
number of changes in previous months and Managing Director Sian
Lenegan says she's thrilled with the firm's new brand and is
looking forward to the future.
"We first started out as a 'virtual team' working at opposite
ends of the country." explains Sian.
"In autumn, we moved into our first office at Rhubarb in
Birmingham's creative quarter, which is perfect for us, and in
December we were joined by a new creative director who replaced my
previous business partner.
Things have changed so much over the last few months and we have
a whole new perspective and a lot of exciting ideas, so we wanted
to rework our brand to reflect that."
The firm chose the name Sixth Story based on the Mandarin number
six, which is pronounced similarly to the word 'fluid'.
"There's a lot of mythology that comes with sixes, like luck,
growth, and extra-sensory perceptions, so we felt this theme
translated well to a re-brand, and also to the personal stories of
the people in the new business."
Sixth Story are Managing Director Sian Lenegan, Creative
Director Anil Amrit, Brand Communications Manager Amanda Yaceyko
and Web Developer Petra Kravos.
The firm also have an out-of-house team, including SEO
copywriter Steve Kellas, Google PPC Manager Chris Roper, and a
specialist public relations consultant.
"I'm so proud of the talented team we have at the moment," says
Sian.
"We genuinely love working together, and it's wonderful that
although we each come from conventional marketing and advertising
backgrounds, everyone brings a completely fresh perspective that
helps us come up with incredible ideas."
The firm has already built up a sparkling reputation amongst
their clients for being responsive, innovative and reliable, and
were last year shortlisted for the Chamber Group Business Awards in
the 'Best Creative, Media and Arts Business' category.
"Branding, print and web are our core services," explains Sian.
"But where we're really adding value for clients is in their
ongoing marketing campaigns and becoming a part of their extended
team."
Above all, Sian says the team are delighted to be based in
Birmingham and has praised Birmingham Chamber of Commerce for their
help in promoting the business.
"Having a presence in Birmingham is vital to us in continuing to
build our growing profile across the city," says Sian.
"We've already built up several clients in the city as well as
out of town, and we're really looking forward to meeting and
working with more."
The firm will also be launching a new website later this month
at sixthstory.co.uk but in the meantime, you can reach them on 0121
