Mercedes-Benz of Leicester aims to prove that good service
begins at home following its recent appointment as the region's
base for the Mercedes-Benz To You initiative.
Mercedes-Benz To You, which is a completely free-of-charge
health check service that can be undertaken at owners' homes or
workplaces, is now operated out of the St Georges Way retailer for
the benefit of Mercedes-Benz drivers across the East Midlands. This
includes customers of Mercedes-Benz of Leicester's sister sites in
Derby, Loughborough and Nottingham, although Mercedes-Benz owners
do not need to be existing customers to take advantage of
Mercedes-Benz To You.
Undertaking the mobile health checks and the driving force
behind the programme, including the bespoke specification of the
retailer's Mercedes-Benz To You B-Class response vehicle, is
Mercedes-Benz of Leicester Diagnostic Technician Rob Green.
With over 30 years experience at Mercedes-Benz of Leicester and
excellent interpersonal skills, Rob was the obvious choice to
spearhead Mercedes-Benz To You. His commitment to the programme has
already won him much praise and such is the increasing popularity
of Mercedes-Benz To You that Rob is making an average of 20
appointments a week.
When Rob visits owners and inspects their cars he undertakes a
series of checks on items such as the lights, brakes, tyres,
battery, alternator and fluid levels. While this is happening the
customer's car is connected to a STAR computer that runs a
diagnostic analysis to ensure that everything is okay.
After a thorough inspection that takes only 45 minutes, the
customer is presented with a report highlighting the condition of
their vehicle. If there are any problems, there is no obligation
for any remedial work to be undertaken - however Rob can arrange
for a quote to be provided or book the car in to be repaired if
required.
