Employee benefits provider BHSF is to create a new club aimed at
the man and woman in the street who cannot access privileged
benefits via their employer.
The club offers members a wide selection of benefits wrapped up
in one membership bundle.
Membership of the BHSF Benefits Club opens the door to the
Network Benefits website, a discount and privileged offer site,
24-hour access to a GP helpline, counselling and advice helplines,
an on-line health assessment and a "lost keys" service - all for
only £3 a month.
Club members will receive a membership club card detailing the
services they can access and will be regularly updated via an
e-mail newsletter.
Peter Maskell, BHSF's Chief Executive, said "The club will
enable members to save money on a range of offers. Indeed the
discounts achieved could well exceed the cost of being a
member.
"In addition it will provide access to valuable services at a
time when economic difficulty and the tightening of public budgets
is sure to lead to increased personal stress.
"The GP helpline is particularly relevant as NHS Direct is
phased out and out-of-hours medical services are becoming harder to
access."
BHSF conducted a series of focus group sessions up and down the
country to establish the value of the membership proposition, the
price point and the branding.
Feedback from the focus groups was very positive and the feeling
was that the concept was excellent value for money
A sales force of part-time, self-employed representatives who
will operate in their local communities, is being created by Robin
Dixon, a newly-appointed expert in financial services sales
teams.
The representatives will be fully trained and have the
opportunity to earn an attractive commission-based income.
Peter Maskell said: "We have already established a unique
selling proposition for our health cash plans by including the GP
helpline and access to our Network Benefits site. The club will
launch in March. We believe it will attract a lot of new individual
customers and strengthen our position in the marketplace."
