Accountants and business advisers Mazars have strengthened their
corporate finance team with the arrival of Lisa Maynard as
assistant manager.
The move comes as Mazars Corporate Finance continues a major
push to grow its share of international deals. Birmingham-based,
she will be working with partner Andrew Millington, head of the
division's Midlands operation.
Mrs Maynard, who is from Sutton Coldfield and a graduate of
Birmingham City University, said: "It is an exciting time to
be part of a fast-growing partnership.
"My primary focus will be to support the team's deal origination
activities both in the UK and internationally."
Mr Millington added: "Lisa is experienced at finding UK buyers
and acquisition targets for overseas businesses and will be
actively seeking mandates or leads with an international
flavour.
"She is an excellent addition and is already making a
difference. Lisa's appointment demonstrates the firm's commitment
to investing in the appropriate resources to ensure we can offer
our clients an integrated international service."
Mrs Maynard has more than ten years experience in the sector,
the last three as an analyst at corporate finance boutique
Clearwater, where she acted an as introducer of opportunities.
She trained at KPMG and has also worked in the corporate finance
team at Grant Thornton.
Her role will involve working closely with both Mazars' overseas
operations and Praxity, the world's largest alliance of independent
accounting firms, of which it is a member.
Mazars has developed an integrated partnership across Europe,
Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America
and the Caribbean.
Clients include large corporations, high-growth SMEs and high
net-worth individuals.
