Live music and event production company, Liz Hobbs Group Ltd, is
celebrating after adding three more awards to its bulging
cabinet.
The company was the overall winner at the Newark Business Awards
2010, organised by the Newark Advertiser.
The Business of the Year award was presented by guest speaker
Trevor Baylis, the inventor of the wind-up radio and the
Advertiser's Managing Director, Joanna Parlby, on 25 January at
Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire.
Liz Hobbs Group also won the Innovation through Technology and
Excellence in Business awards.
The Innovation through Technology award was presented to the
company for the implementation of a new database programme and
content management system, Artifax Agent, which has been tailored
to fit the specific needs of the business and streamline vast
scheduling requirements.
Liz Hobbs Group's CEO, Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, said: "Somebody
once said to me that it's not what you do locally that counts, it's
what you do nationally that really matters. But I beg to
differ. To be recognised by your peers in your home town
means a great deal to me."
"I would like to thank all of our clients, suppliers and of
course the team at Liz Hobbs Group who have helped us to achieve
such successes and for helping me to realise my visions for the
business now and setting the important foundations for what looks
to be a promising and exciting future for the business."
Liz Hobbs Group is recognised as the largest producer of music
events and concerts to sporting venues in the UK. It was
ranked 20th in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 list in
December 2010, which ranks the fastest growing private companies in
the UK, based on sales growth over the past three years.
The company organised 68 outdoor music concerts in 2010, with
artists including Rod Stewart and Westlife, attracting more than
half a million people.
