Staffordshire Internet Services Company, Internet Central has
started 2011 by investing heavily in its infrastructure and new
services in readiness for the plans by the government that every
community in the UK will be able to gain access to super-fast
broadband by 2015.
Internet Central is already able to offer broadband packages
delivering up to 40Mb/s Broadband with Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC)
and upload speeds of "up to 10Mbps" and as more and more areas of
the country are able to receive FTTC Internet Central will be ready
to offer assistance.
The service is aimed at those whose business is heavily
dependent on reliable connectivity and who need to run business
critical applications such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP),
have fast internet access or be able to download or transfer large
files via the internet, quicker back-up or who need high security
IT systems and for whom traditional broadband services cannot meet
their needs or provide the stability and high availability.
This is a significant enhancement to our broadband services
offering," said Maitland Hyslop, MD of Internet Central. "We work
to the highest possible standards in terms of our technology,
security and service levels and we have invested heavily in our
broadband connectivity services, earlier in 2010 we were also one
of 10 UK Internet Services companies to undertake a trial for BT of
Annex M new technology also known as ADSL2+ M highlighting how as a
company we are at the forefront of new technology.
Whilst we will be able to offer all customers these new services
you will need to be connected to a fibre enabled exchange and as
the roll-out occurs we will be contacting our customers. In
2011 and 2012 many Staffordshire and Cheshire exchanges will be
enabled and already Internet Central has received a large amount of
interest from customers in readiness for the super fast fibre
access exchange roll out in the region.
Historically, the challenge that has faced many local IT
Managers has been in trying to secure these types of high capacity
internet services at a reasonable price. Now however, due to
Internet Central's continued investment in the local area, this new
service is significantly more cost effective than traditional
broadband connections. This means that businesses across the
region will now be able to compete in the world wide arena of fast,
secure internet technology without the previously high costs.
This new phase in Broadband technology is an exciting initiative
which will not only provide far more effective network connections
and more efficient communications but will also open up a
range of future technological possibilities for the region as a
whole."
Internet Central will be utilising its own infrastructure
already in place in the local region which will also integrate
seamlessly with BT's new 21CN Network and thus provide this
technology to the region. The new network represents a multi
billion pound investment by BT and significant infrastructure
investment by Internet Central as well as a strengthening of the
long standing relationship between BT and Internet Central.
