A £700,000 investment in new machinery is set to propel
Leicester's Label Apeel into a league of its own.
Label Apeel, the manufacturer of self-adhesive labels to the
food, beverage, health and personal care industries, has bought a
new HP WS6000 Digital Label Printer and a Digicon Finishing Line.
This additional print technology will mean that Label Apeel will be
able to again further its ability to provide clients with exactly
what they need - when they need it.
The HP Indigo WS6000 Digital Press offers the most productive,
high-speed digital solution label and packaging printing, with
print quality surpassing that of conventional printing. The Digicon
Finishing Line provides cost effective tooling solutions to
embossing, screen printing, cold and hot foiling, varnishing and
laminating.
Talking about the new investment, Stuart Kellock, managing
director of Label Apeel said: "This is a great investment for our
company - and more importantly, our customers. We've recognised
that digital is the future of the industry, and it's time for us to
enter the market to give more options to clients of our expanding
UK and European operations.
"These new pieces of kit will mean even shorter turnaround times
for our customers, as well as being able to show them finished
product samples. We really couldn't have spent the money any
better."
The new equipment will mean that Label Apeel is now perfectly
positioned to continue its exciting expansion plans into the
beverage market, as well as the personal care, healthcare and
cosmetics sectors.
Label Apeel recently expanded into the German beverage market
with three prestigious contract wins. The company has signed deals
with Weingut Herbert Becker - a vineyard in the Kraichgau Wine
region, Mall-Brau - a brewery in Meckesheim to supply bottle
labels, and is building close links with Deco Glass a decorative
glass and bottle producer in Montabrau.
As part of its energetic expansion plans, Label Apeel also
recently hired Amy Chambers, a new sales manager tasked with
growing the personal care and healthcare side of the business.
