Midlands-based brand communications agency, Happy Giraffe Ltd,
has started the New Year with a flourish with the appointment of
new Managing Director, David Cooper. One of the leading players in
the Midlands marketing scene, David has spent the last two years
heading up Marketing and Business Engagement at the University of
Birmingham where he was instrumental in the successful re-launch of
the University's business brand.
Whilst there he devised and headed up the University's national
Heroes campaign and led on the branding of major initiatives such
as the Birmingham Science City Research Alliance - part of a
£67million project.
Happy Giraffe has become nationally recognised as a full-service
brand communications agency since its establishment in 2002.
Despite industry trends and the economic downturn, 2010 was the
second most successful in the company's history with new account
wins in its core sectors of education, health and lifestyle and
professional services. Building on this performance, the company
has ambitious growth plans moving forward and the appointment of a
new managing director is just the start of things to
come.
Commenting on his appointment, having officially taken up the
post at the beginning of January 2011, David elaborates, 'I am
extremely pleased to have this opportunity. In the current economic
environment agencies need to be far more responsive and focused on
client needs. Building on the company's existing foundations will
give me the opportunity to develop a creative cutting-edge agency
with a national reputation and the capability to deliver an
outstanding service to all of our clients.'
