Nottingham's award-winning Indian restaurant The Curry Lounge
has announced plans to beat the post-Christmas blues with its very
own January sale.
Owner Arfan Razak (better known as Raz) and his team are set to
follow the lead of some of the city's top high street retailers by
reducing the prices of the restaurant's traditional Indian and
Punjabi dishes, by up to a massive 60% off normal prices.
"Sales are very much a New Year tradition," commented Raz.
"However, they tend to be mainly associated with shops and
department stores, so we thought we'd extend the concept to the
restaurant and have some fun to start the year.
"Many people refrain from going out for a meal in January as
they're normally counting the pennies following the excesses of
Christmas. And, with VAT increasing to 20%, family budgets are
about to be hit even harder.
"That's why we've decided to extend the festive cheer into 2011
and offer people the chance to have a great night out without
breaking the bank."
Beginning on Tuesday 4 January 2011, The Curry Lounge Sale will
see a percentage discount attributed to starters and main courses
across the venue's acclaimed menu.
Offer highlights include 60% off the aromatically spiced Chicken
Pakora, 30% off the authentic Lamb Korma or Chicken Tikka Masala
and a reduction of up to 25% on the hugely popular set menus. Plus,
every diner in January will be entered into a draw to win a Samsung
Galaxy Tab computer.
"2011 is set to be a big year for The Curry Lounge," added Raz.
"The sale is the start of an exciting 12 months packed with special
events, tasty new dishes and a few big surprises thrown in for good
measure."
The Curry Lounge sale runs from Tuesday 4 January 2011 to Monday
31 January inclusive. Maximum of 6 people per table. Booking is
necessary on Friday and Saturday evenings. For more information or
