Workplace teams are being invited to sign up for the Cooper
Parry Business Team Challenge, part of the Derbyshire Building
Society 10k run which will take place on 3 April 2011 at Pride Park
stadium.
The event is aimed at local businesses who need a minimum of
four members, up to a maximum of ten, per team. At the end of the
race, the four quickest times from each team are put forward for
the final result.
Cooper Parry who sponsor the team event, provide extra
facilities and refreshments for the Team Challenge within the
Pedigree suite at Pride Park.
PricewaterhouseCoopers are current champions having won the
event in April for the second year running.
Peter Warnes, from PwC said: "We've got some fantastic runners
here in the East Midlands and a lot of competitiveness within the
team. The event is great for all involved and I'm sure we'll be
back even stronger next year."
Fluid Ideas, a creative agency in Darley Abbey raised a
fantastic £1000 for charity.
Melanie Campbell, race organiser at Cooper Parry said,"We
encourage all levels of runners to take part. It is about
team spirit and raising money for the charities, Sporting Futures
and our 2011 nominated charity, the Alzheimer's Society. The
event is a good opportunity for potential competitors to get
training in the New Year. "
Entrants in the Cooper Parry Business Team Challenge will enjoy
all the benefits of the individual 10k race, plus hospitality in
the exclusive Pedigree Suite overlooking Pride Park Stadium, team
photo, prize-giving, a designated massage area and a supervised
baggage area.

The road race is organised by Derbyshire charity Sporting
Futures, and will start and finish at Pride Park Stadium on Sunday,
