Birmingham based full service agency, Big Cat Group has recently
been appointed to deliver the launch event for the £66million
redevelopment of Bournville College.
The award-winning consultancy has been selected to provide an
event strategy alongside PR and design support for the launch of
the new 4.2 acre campus which will open its doors for the first
time in September 2011. Big Cat has been tasked with delivering an
exclusive VIP party which will include live music, dance acts and a
range of celebrity guests. The event will be held in November 2011
and will coincide with the launch of a student exhibition,
showcasing work from the college's vocational and specialist
courses including hairdressing, marketing and catering.
The new development will bring together Bournville's three
existing campuses under one roof. Located on the ex-MG Rover site,
the multimillion pound campus will include a new learning resource
centre, business school, construction workshop, as well as state of
the art leisure and sports facilities.
Anthony Tattum, Managing Director of Big Cat Group said: "Having
worked with Bournville College on various projects over the past
two years, we are thrilled to be involved in the next chapter of
Bournville College's future. The state of the art facility will be
a cornerstone in the regeneration of Longbridge, providing world
class facilities for the students across Birmingham and West
Midlands.
Bournville College Principal, Norman Cave said: "It has taken us
five years to get to this point and without the help of all the
partners and businesses who have invested both time and money in
the project, we would not have made it this far. The event allows
us to say thank you to all those involved, whilst welcoming in a
new era for the college.
"Our perseverance to see this new campus delivered ensures our
continued commitment as leading education providers within the
city. The new state-of-the-art facilities will help us build on the
success that the college has seen since its establishment in
1913.
