The search is on for 30 youngsters from across the UK to act as
ball boys and girls on court at this year's Barclays ATP World Tour
Finals, taking place in London at The O2 in November, 2011.
The Barclays Ball Kids initiative will see a series of regional
trials held in March and April open to 12 - 16 year olds giving
them the opportunity to earn their spot to appear on court at the
largest indoor tennis tournament in the world.
To help promote this activity and to encourage as many
youngsters as possible to register, an interactive tennis game
(called a Batak) will be visiting a number of Barclays branch's
across the UK during January and February.
On 1st February the Batak will be at Birmingham High Street
branch and Barclays employees are looking forward to welcoming as
many customers from all ages to give the tennis game a go
throughout the day.
The Batak is an interactive game where a player has to
extinguish lights that flash up on the game board. Each branch will
be giving away one pair of tickets to the Barclays ATP World Tour
Finals 2011 for the best score of the day.
