EIC makes the grade with £1.1m contract win

National building services provider, EIC, has completed a £1.1m mechanical and electrical install at ion contract for St Anne’s Primary School in Chelmswood, Birmingham.

The newly constructed school boasts solar panels, providing it with an energy efficient alternative resource for electricity uses. The seven-month project has also included the installation of a new fire alarm system, under floor heating and electrical door access.

Ian Lyall, joint managing director for EIC, said the contract win was another boost to the company’s already strong educ at ion sector credentials. He said: “The systems we have put in place have not only contributed towards making the new building energy efficient but have also helped to provide a modern working environment for staff and pupils at St Anne’s Primary, enabling them to focus on the important business of teaching and learning.

Other education developments successfully completed by EIC include City of London Academy (Islington), Uxbridge High School, Crossways Academy, Alexander Park School, W at erg at e School, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, North East Worcester College, Mayville School Leytonstone, West Wycombe School, Oxford University’s Medical Sciences Teaching Centre and Le Rondin in Guernsey.
