HSBC’s expanding Midlands team opens new corporate centre

HSBC’s Corporate Banking team in the Midlands will relocate to larger offices today, in a move which highlights the bank’s continual growth and commitment to supporting its customers in the region.

The 120 Edmund Street premises in central Birmingham will service corporate customers throughout the West Midlands, with the Grove Park Leicester Corporate team continuing to serve those further East. The move reflects the steady growth of HSBC’s corporate business in the Midlands and an ongoing expansion of its corporate team. The new premises will house a team of 31, providing both domestic and global solutions to customers’ financial needs.

Maurice Heath, HSBC’s Head of Corporate Banking for the Midlands, said: “Our previous offices served the corporate banking team for 25 years. However, these new facilities will enable us to further enhance our support to corporate customers, new and old.

“This move to larger and better located offices, demonstrates our commitment to the Midlands business community and will enable us to be better connected to clients and fellow professionals, both locally and globally. The improved video conferencing facilities will enhance our communication with colleagues in the 85 countries in which HSBC operates, to ensure that we consistently deliver as the world’s local bank.”

HSBC Corporate Banking is moving from Exchange Buildings, its home for over 25 years, to its new address at 120 Edmund Street, Birmingham, B3 2QZ.
