Yorkshire Bank is living up to its ethos of creating
partnerships and connecting people by extending its business
partnership with the Ricoh Arena.
The bank was the venue's first business partner when it opened
in 2005 and it has now signed a deal for a further eight years.
The agreement means the company will continue to sponsor the
Yorkshire Bank Lounge which is used for conferences and exhibitions
and by Premier Club members on Coventry City matchdays.
The 22-strong team at Yorkshire Bank's Financial Solutions
Centre (FSC) will also continue to be based at the Ricoh Arena.
Brian Colquhoun, regional director for Yorkshire Bank, said the
new partnership agreement would run until 2018 which emphasised its
faith in the continuing success of the Ricoh Arena.
"We have always been proud to be associated with one of the
region's landmark buildings and we are really pleased with the
success of the Yorkshire Bank Lounge," he said.
"Over the last five years we have doubled our office space for
staff in our FSC which gives our customers the opportunity to gain
advice from our specialists in invoice financing, financial
planning, treasury and credit under one roof.
"Our philisophy is based on creating partnerships and connecting
people and we have certainly done that in the past and will
continue to do that in the future. This has proved to be a great
base to be at the heart of the city's business community."
Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, said the new
partnership deal was a testament to the excellent links between the
two companies.
"We have a broad relationship with Yorkshire Bank because not
only are they our bankers but they have office space here and we
see them on a daily basis," he said.
"Yorkshire Bank was one of our original business tenants and the
fact they have signed a further agreement emphasises the success of
it for both parties.
"They have become an integral part of the Ricoh Arena and with
the exciting developments and events planned over the next few
years, I am sure both businesses will drive forward."
