Staff members employed by Victoria Centre to keep the popular
Nottingham shopping destination well-managed, clean and safe are
set to win Awards when shoppers cast their votes during Customer
Services Week 2010 which runs from Monday 4th October.
Shoppers should be on the look-out for staff members who 'go the
extra mile' in serving and supporting customers with the highest
degree of professionalism and care, and there will no doubt be
remarkable acts of service worth rewarding. A 'Welcome Team'
will greet shoppers at the Parliament Street entrance, recognisable
by their distinctive red shirts.
This year's theme is 'A Tradition of Customer Service' and
reflects Victoria Centre's 38 years of delivering a top shopping
experience for the region's public. Visitors can ask for the name
of the member of staff and nominate the person, or team, for an
award. The Nomination Box will be positioned at the Information
Desk on the Upper Mall.
Customer Services Week started as an American initiative and is
now run worldwide by all kinds of businesses. Victoria Centre
prides itself in quietly, and often invisibly, servicing the needs
of the shopping public, and recognises this international activity
as an opportunity to recognise the work of the staff, and the
loyalty of its shoppers.
Vikki Redshaw co-ordinator for the initiative says: "Superb
customer service is something to shout about. This campaign will
give our visitors the chance to say a big 'thank you' to some very
special people, and our staff a great opportunity to meet and greet
whoever comes though our doors next week."
