Three spectacular themed meals are promising to wow diners at
the Shugborough Estate this Autumn.
On Saturday September 25 there will be a Showstoppers Evening
with fabulous music from Staffordshire vocalists Elaine Bradbury
& Stacey Lee Rogers, backed by the silky keyboard skills of
musician Dan Smith. A three course meal will be served in the Lady
Walk Tearoom as the performers sing favourite songs from the shows
including Carousel, Evita, Les Miserables, Cats and Oklahoma.
The meal includes a choice of homemade soup or tomato and feta
salad and a main course of chicken in mushroom and tarragon sauce
or salmon with lemon and dill crème fraiche. Dessert will be
either homemade apple and blackberry pie with vanilla custard or
vanilla cheesecake.
The Showstoppers Evening will be followed by a Fabulous Forties
Dinner on Saturday November 13. Back by popular demand, Miss Lola
Lamour who performs across the region, will entertain the audience
with nostalgic songs from the war years. The evening includes a
three course wartime inspired dinner with a complimentary glass of
wine.
Both evenings are priced at £24.95 per person and are
strictly pre-bookable.
On a similar theme a Wartime Remembered lunch will be held on
Saturday November 20. Diners will enjoy a wartime themed meal
before being taken on a nostalgia tour of the estate's working
servants' quarters by one of Shugborough's entertaining guides.
Find out about life at the magnificent stately home during the war
years and step into the enormous estate kitchen to enjoy tales of
ration books, the land army and the Shugborough camp.
The lunch experience costs £19.95 a head and again is
pre-bookable. These novel dinner and lunch experiences have been
added to Shugborough's 2010 programme of themed meals after the
popular Murder Mystery nights have completely sold out. Because of
the popularity of these exclusive Shugborough experiences, early
booking is strongly recommended.
