2010 continues to be a year of achievement for leading
Shropshire law firm Lanyon Bowdler, after receiving numerous
recommendations by the leading Legal Sector Directory.
The firm has been recommended by the UK Legal 500 in 12 areas of
work, the most for any practice based solely in the county (see
http://www.legal500.com/c/west-midlands).
The directory makes particular comment about several leading
individuals, including John Merry, whose Employment team moved up a
tier, saying his 'level of knowledge and pragmatic attitude are
second to none'. Andrew Evans, who leads the Agriculture
& Estates department - another team to see an upwards move in
its rating, is quoted as being 'very highly regarded'. The
commentary then goes on to acknowledge: 'the firm is appointed
adviser to the NFU, and regularly advises on farming partnership
dissolution'.
Edward Rees sees his Personal Taxes, Trusts & Probate team
leap to an even higher rating. He is quoted as providing 'an
excellent and professional service'.
Managing Partner, David Battisby, says of the firm's
recommendations: "The UK Legal 500 is regarded as the country's
leading legal directory, it contains independent recommendations of
law firms and lawyers throughout the UK. Its recommendations
are based on a substantial amount of research, including discussion
with our clients. I am delighted that so many of our
departments and specialists have been recommended for the
outstanding service to clients they provide. I am
particularly pleased to see we have been noted in the Debt Recovery
category of work this year."
The firm has been recommended by the UK Legal 500 in the
following categories: Corporate & Commercial; Crime; Commercial
Litigation; Debt Recovery; Employment; Health & Safety;
Clinical Negligence: claimant; Personal Injury: claimant;
Agriculture & Estates; Family; Personal taxes, Trusts &
Probate and Commercial property.
