One of the county's hottest creative agencies recently
celebrated a spectacular year of success with a packed garden
party.
In The Shed Founder and Director Nicola Brown hosted the bash to
thank businesses and individuals from across the region for their
help and support since launching last year, and the venue was an
imperative as it allowed the guest of honour to be present.
"As you can probably tell from our business name, it was
launched and is still run, from a shed - albeit a high-tech and
well-equipped one. Holding the shed warming party anywhere else
would have meant that our guests would have missed the main
attraction, and we were amazed by how well the guided tours around
our creative empire went down."
Nicola was made redundant in late 2008 and started freelancing
while she looked to grow her own client base with the dream of
launching a creative agency with a difference. In The Shed was
formally started last March and the agency has grown rapidly,
building an impressive portfolio of local, regional and national
clients, and receiving rave reviews in titles including the Sunday
Times and The Independent. "Local press have been hugely supportive
of us too "Nicola added "and we've had lots of fun pieces in recent
months across other titles. We were even finalists in the Shed of
The Year competition after winning the Studio Shed category."
The shed warming party was extremely well attended with guests
packing the garden for a feast and a rare glimpse of summer
sunshine. "It was an amazing day and I'm so grateful to everyone
who came along to celebrate with us. In The Shed was my dream for
so long and I can't believe how much we've achieved since our
official launch" she added.
"I've loved being a part of the Shropshire business community
and have met such great people that we're determined to stay here -
although when we grow much larger we will have to invest in a
larger shed!" she concluded.
