A private out-of-hours GP Clinic in Shropshire has expanded its general consultation services to include 45 minute Well Woman and Well Man health check appointments on Saturday mornings.

The GP clinic, which is based at The Dental Spa on Oxon Business Park in Shrewsbury, was launched in July to accommodate the needs of busy people in the county who struggle to make appointments with their own GP that fit their hectic work schedule.

Resident GP, Dr Huw Glover, said: "As well as the convenience factor the clinic provides peace of mind for those patients who are concerned and want fast track appointments. Whether it is for a consultation, consultant referral, pregnancy test, private prescription, or just an appointment to have stitches removed, being able to attend an appointment without having to take time off work is a big advantage for many people."

"The Well Person health screening service was launched after we identified a need for such a service locally. As well as a full lifestyle and health assessment, patients are given height, weight, blood pressure and thyroid function checks, together with a breast or testicle and prostrate examination. Medical examinations are also available to meet the requirements for work and sport related fitness certificates and people can get their holiday vaccinations at the clinic too."
