Shropshire businesswoman Kathryn Holloway is in the running to
pick up a top national title with a £10,000 prize. Out of
hundreds of applications, Kathryn Holloway has been listed in the
top "Hot 40" in the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year
Award 2010.
Kathryn is the managing director of Coalport-based Promofix, a
company which provides promotional items to businesses. The
entrepreneur is one of six young businesspeople shortlisted in the
Midlands and Yorkshire category, and 40 in the shortlist
nationally.
Kathryn said: "It is a great achievement for me to reach the top
40 as this is a very prestigious award with many previous finalists
going onto achieve great success in business and I hope to continue
to follow in their footsteps.
"I am proud to be representing the region with my business and
be recognised for all of the hard work that goes into starting up
and running a new company."
Over the next week, a team of regional judges will be looking at
each of the shortlisted individuals to decide on the eight who will
make it through to the UK Final in London on October 13.
