Label Apeel, the fast-growing Leicester-based provider of self
adhesive labels to the BWS, food, retail, personal care and
healthcare sectors, is expanding after taking on a new sales
manager.
Amy Chambers is joining Label Apeel from rival Labelsco, where
she spent five years as a sales manager. Before that, Amy was a
packaging technologist for four years with Alliance Boots. Hailing
from Nuthall, Nottinghamshire, Amy also joins the business armed
with a degree from Loughborough University in industrial design and
technology.
Amy says the decision to join Label Apeel was easy. "Label Apeel
is a company where I can realise my true potential," she
says.
"I want to be a part of this business' exciting story, which
it's fair to say is only just beginning to be told. The business is
seen in the industry as unconventional yet extremely client and
quality focussed and that's exactly why I feel I belong at Label
Apeel."
Label Apeel is pushing to expand into the lucrative BWS market,
and it also plans to increase its presence in the personal care and
healthcare sectors. The company is one of the fastest growing
self-adhesive label manufacturers in the UK, and Amy's appointment
is a key strategic move, which will both underpin and increase the
speed of this growth says Stuart Kellock, managing director at
Label Apeel.
"Having Amy on board at Label Apeel is a tremendous coup for us,
and is a massive boost for the company," he says. "She will help to
push the business further into the personal care and healthcare
markets and support the team in food markets."
The addition of Amy to the Label Apeel team is part of an
ongoing expansion programme, which will see staff numbers grow
again later in the year, as well as a significant planned
investment in new machinery at its Murrayfield Road premises.
