Birmingham-based hair replacement specialist Optima marked its
move to new premises on The Calthorpe Estate in Edgbaston with a
special opening ceremony for a new luxury styling suite in memory
of teenager Hayley Higginson, who died in February after losing her
battle against cancer.
Optima Hair Specialists utilises revolutionary non-surgical hair
replacement procedures to offer tailor-made solutions for a range
of clients. With more than 40 years' combined experience, Optima
carries the acclaim of being one of Britain's leading hair
replacement experts.
The opening of the Hayley Higginson room will enhance Optima's
provision of treatment for children who have suffered major hair
loss following life-saving treatment such as chemotherapy or
radiotherapy for serious medical conditions.
Hayley's parents, Lisa & Andy, joined staff from Optima to
open the new room, which has been made possible by the company's
move to bigger premises.
The new site at 51 Frederick Road, Edgbaston will provide
comfortable surroundings for their younger visitors in particular,
building on Optima's commitment to making a positive contribution
to the community.
Pete Murtha, Managing Director of Optima Hair Solutions said:
"We're delighted to have opened our new premises, and the Hayley
Higginson suite will allow us to continue to offer a helping hand
to those children in need of a confidence boost at a tough
time.
"Without the help and guidance of Calthorpe Estates we would not
have been able to create facilities like this to help young people
who have been through a lot of suffering."
